The amplifier is built on the same board as the filter. I do have the schematic on my desk at home. I was a part of the beta install group.  I have not operated in a contest enviroment yet, but I can tell you that the IMD preformance was dramatic. I live in a high AM broadcast enviroment and did notice an improvement. 

As far as the install goes. It was GREAT. It took me about 30 minutes from when I started to unplag the radio, read the instruactions, heat the iron and do the install. It took me longer to plug the cables in than it did to install the mod. The cable that plugs in behind the roofing filter was the toughest.
