It's common for the 1000D fans to get noisy, it needs to be lubricated.
Unfortunately, from what I've been told, it's not a trivail job, it
needs to
be pulled.  I haven't done it (yet) myself, maybe someone on the list
has
done it and can give some more detail on what's involved.
