I bet you have a wire (speaker or other) rubbing on the fan blade.

It's common for the 1000D fans to get noisy, it needs to be lubricated.
Unfortunately, from what I've been told, it's not a trivail job, it needs to
be pulled.  I haven't done it (yet) myself, maybe someone on the list has
done it and can give some more detail on what's involved.
