Zoli and the list,
The tee network you see in series with the ceramic filters in the MP sub rx
are to equalize the gains through the different paths. You will note that
the option filters also have tee networks for the same reason. Reversing
the network and filter will have very little effect at that point in the
rcvr as the noise floor and dynamic range are pretty much determined by the
time the signal reaches the second mixer.
The best way to improve the dynamic range of a radio with a minimum of
effort is to make the roofing filter narrower. Inrad will have the 47.21
MHz filters available in the future. They are on the list for the next
order.
There are some very good books out there that cover receiver design. Here
is a partial list of some of the best:
1. Introduction to Radio Frequency Design. ARRL, Hayward.
2. Single Sideband Systems and Circuits, 2nd ed. Sabin/Shoenike McGraw Hill
3. Communication Receiver Design. Rhode/Whitaker McGraw Hill
4. Radio Receivers. Gosling IEE
