[INRAD] filter comparison

I have been out of the hobby for the last 40 years.  I have an Icom 718 
that I would like better selectivity on ssb (and also cw, but I can only 
add one filter), and don't know how to decide between the three 
bandwidths offered.  Any advice?

I've also been told I could add Collins mechanical filters to this 
radio.  I think I remember them as being the best when I was a kid, but 
is that accurate and does it still apply today?  How do they compare to 
INRAD?
