I had the opportunity to evaluate (installation and effectiveness) the roofing filter for George back in March/April 2005 using my 775dsp. Note that I do not have any test gear so the accuracy (and relevancy) is limited to the processing between my two ears (which my XYL and others often find questionable). What I discovered was (a) the roofing filter's effectiveness was consistent with what I experienced with the INRAD roofing filter for the Yaesu MK V Field I had sitting next to the 775dsp, (b) while the AM audio was a bit constrained (as it was in the Mark V Field) I do not recall it being horribly so, and I believe (but not certain as it has been a while) AM reception via the sub-receiver was not affected.

Would I buy one for my 775dsp? Yes.
